This share has been on my blog post idea list for over a year. And it’s such a short, simple idea that it allows to me share some gratuitous photos of our fur kid, Z.
The life hack? When you own animals, especially dogs, you have to have them on a flea and tick preventative. This medication is usually a once a month pill that you buy as a six month or year supply at one time. Now, the first two years we had Z I kept second guessing myself if I had indeed given her her pill. I kept reminders on my phone to remind me to give it to her…but with everything else going on in my life as a mom and freelance musician I often would put it off by a day or two. Then I realized I should just label the medication the day I receive the order with the month and year it was for. That way, I don’t have to second guess, I can just double check my pet medication bin and be assured that I did in fact give it to her.

Now I take a sharpie to the back of the pill packs the moment I get them. I know, I know, many of you are probably saying, well duh Wonder… but, if it took me almost two years to think of this I bet there’s at least one more of you out there that could also benefit from using this method.
And now for some gratuitous photos of our real life Bluey (Australian Cattle Dog aka Blue Heeler), Z. She’s my buddy when everyone is at school and work. She lays at my feet (or a warm spot) while I practice, and is probably one of the smartest dogs I’ve ever met.
